Rabbi Chaim Druckman, an elder of the rabbis of religious Zionism, this evening (Saturday) referred for the first time to the destruction carried out yesterday in the Chumash by the security forces. The rabbi condemned the destruction of the buildings that came to the ground after the horrific attack last weekend in which Yehuda Dimentman the 14th was killed, who made his way to a yeshiva in the settlement.
“I am shocked by the destruction of the Chumash on Friday,” the rabbi told News 12. “Ministers in the government promised me that they would only destroy things that were built after the murder, which is also nonsense, but evacuated things that were built earlier. The terrorists’ house has not yet been destroyed but the Chumash destroyed.
A convoy of hundreds of vehicles was blocked this evening on its way to the Chumash settlement at the Ganot checkpoint, near the Shavei Shomron settlement. Hundreds of those blocked got out of the vehicles and began marching towards the settlement of Chumash. The caravan made its way to an event accompanied by a queen in the town of Chumash with the participation of rabbis Rabbi David Dodkevitz, rabbi of Yitzhar, Rabbi Aharon Cohen, rabbi of Yakir and Rabbi Eliezer Kashtiel, head of the yeshiva for army graduates in Ali.
Protest at the String Bridge: Three detainees, including two 14-year-old minors, were arrested by the police at the legal center of the Honno organization this evening, who were arrested this evening by the police during a demonstration at the String Bridge in Jerusalem. Rabbi Druckman did not mention the names of the ministers who promised him that only buildings that came up after the murder would be demolished. The Dimentman family raised before Shaked and Auerbach their demand to regulate the Yeshiva of Chumash. Yehuda’s father, Rabbi Mordechai, said: “Six years ago, Yehuda wrote in some forum that if he had a week to live, he would want to study Torah at Yeshivat Chumash. Our only consolation is to keep Yehuda’s will written in blood – to hold the yeshiva in Chumash.”
“If there is any thought of dismantling the yeshiva in the Chumash, we consider it a personal injury. The responsibility is on you, you have a finger in this government, you in cooperation will settle this matter of the Yeshiva of the Chumash.”
