Rasi, ‘for 15 years a sector treated as non-strategic in the EU and Italy’

“The pharmaceutical sector in the last 15 years in Europe, but also in Italy, has not been considered strategic, with delocalization and fragmentation of the production chain”. This, together with the “absence of a central research institute, has put us in a position to chase after the major players in research”. This was stated by Guido Rasi, consultant to the Covid-19 emergency commissioner, General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, in the lesson ‘Lights and shadows of the regulatory system of drugs and vaccines in Europe during the Covid-19 pandemic’, on the occasion of the ceremony online delivery of diplomas for the Masters of the High School of Economics and Management of Health Systems (Altems) of the University of the Sacred Heart.
