The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R 2023 is a motorcycle that is inspired by the super sports cars of the Japanese brand, such as the Ninja ZX-10R or the Ninja ZX-25R. Its engine is a liquid-cooled 4-cylinder DOHC engine that offers a maximum power of 57 kW (77 hp) at 14,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 39 Nm at 13,000 rpm, figures rise to 59 kW (80 PS) and 40 Nm when the Ram Air system is activated, which pressurizes the intake air to improve engine performance.

The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assisted slipper clutch, which facilitates hard downshifts and prevents rear wheel lockup. The sportier version, the Ninja ZX-4RR, also includes a quick shifter KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) that allows up and down gears without using the clutch.

The 2023 Ninja ZX-4R has a weight in running order of 189 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres. Its chassis is a high-strength steel tubular that guarantees good rigidity and stability.

The front suspension is shaped like an horquilla invertida Show SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) with 37 mm bars and the rear is a monoshock with links. Both are adjustable for preload and rebound. The Ninja ZX-4RR version upgrades the suspension with a fully adjustable Showa SFF-BP inverted fork and a fully adjustable Showa BFRC lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion) rear shock.

Brakes are another strong point of the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, which features twin 290mm front discs bitten by Nissin radial monobloc calipers and a 220mm rear disc with a Nissin caliper. The ABS system is standard on both versions.

Electronics is another highlight of the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, which incorporates four integrated driving modes that combine KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) traction control and power modes. The modes are Sport, Road, Rain and Rider (manual), which can be easily selected from the handlebars. Traction control has three levels of intervention and can be switched off if desired.

The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R also has a 4.3-inch TFT color screen with two display modes: Normal and Circuit. Normal mode shows basic information such as speed, tachometer, fuel level or odometer, while Circuit mode shows gear position, lap times or rpm over 10,000 more prominently. The screen also has integrated Bluetooth connectivity, which allows access to the RIDEOLOGY THE APP, which offers additional information on the status of the bike, GPS, incoming calls or dashboard settings.
