With the objective of promoting financial education among boys and girls, Santander México and the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (Condusef), presented “Mun-2 Financial Adventures”a personal finance video game, created by Tuiio, the Bank’s financial inclusion initiative.
The Condusef affirmed that this game will have totally free online access and will allow you to learn in a dynamic and fun way the basic concepts of personal finance, as well as the use and benefits of services such as debit cards, credit cards, investments, programmed savings, auto insurance and major medical expenses.
Oscar Rosado Jiménez, President of Condusef, explained that it is important to increase and diversify the organization’s educational offer to different sectors of the population, is part of a sustained effort; as well as the importance of generating specific financial education programs for different ages, since one of the most worrying sectors is children.
He added that financial education from childhood is transcendental to learn to better manage finances personal and family from childhood, also leads to adults with less financial stress.
He stressed that the Condusef seeks to innovate and create different alliances with institutions from the public, private and social sectors, to create financial education programs and materials, aimed at this demographic group.
While, Felipe García Ascencio, General Director of Grupo Financiero Santander, pointed out that in Mexico, his financial education initiatives have benefited nearly 700,000 peopleas part of his Responsible Banking agenda, where he said, they stand out for being disruptive, “as is the case with this innovative game that will bring financial education to all corners of the country.”
