The 2022 Activities Report of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA is now available
The document, approved at the last General Assembly of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, includes the main activities and projects that the Confederation developed throughout 2022.
As every year, SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA has published its Activity Report 2022, in which he shows the actions and programs developed from the Confederation during the past year.
Nel González Zapicopresident of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, stresses that this document «The effects on emotional well-being that the pandemic had and that are generated by inequalities, discrimination, violations of rights, the lack of resources in mental health care and the individualistic and competitive nature of the society in which we live have pushed us , in 2022, to focus on the situation of the most vulnerable people and groups”.
González Zapico highlights the implementation of the State Mental Health Observatory, Rights and Equality, «a pioneering and fundamental space for SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA that responds to the need for denunciation, reflection, information and defense of the human rights of people with mental health problems”.
To publicize the work of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, in this 2022 Activity Reportincludes information on the identity of this non-profit organization, its structure, economic information, processes and institutional relationships that the organization has maintained throughout 2022.
This year, the approval of the Code of Ethics and Good Governance of MENTAL HEALTH SPAINand of the Communication Strategy 2022-2026as well as the work done in digital transformation.
Confederation Programs
The Confederation manages social intervention programs at the state level that it offers to its member entities so that, from the local level, they carry out direct care with people with mental health problems, family members and relatives.
This Activities Report publishes the results of programs such as the Leisure and free time, in which 1,356 people participated in activities focused on well-being; the program of Penitentiary Centers, with 3,009 people served, or the program of Reincorporation of people with judicial measures, with 494 beneficiaries.
On the other hand, the School of Mental Health conducted 10 courses and trained 500 people, and the Guidance Service attended a total of 1,224 demands. The Employability Strategy had 170 people trained from 11 territories and 67 people from 14 territories, and a total of 116,841 people have benefited in the Mental Health Promotion Program.
Disclosure, awareness and advocacy
During 2022, the Confederation launched various awareness campaigns, including #SaludMentalFeminista, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The #NosotrasSíContamos campaign, developed for the Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, was launched in 2022 with the aim of explaining the life situations in which women with mental health problems suffer violence. On Human Rights Day, SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA presented the first State Observatory for Mental Health, Rights and Equality. And on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day, the Confederation launched a campaign, under the hashtag #ConectaConLaVida, aimed at adolescents and young people, mothers and fathers, and educational center staff.
In addition, World Mental Health Day was dedicated to young people and, on the occasion of this day, various activities were carried out under the slogan “Give a like to mental health, for the right to grow in well-being”.
