Despite the defeat on March 4 against the American Jon Jones in Las Vegas, Ciryl Gane remains a safe bet in MMA. Moreover, the French will be the headliner of the second evening of the UFC on September 2 at the Accor Arena in Paris as announced by Dana White, the boss of the UFC. The latter has also revealed the name of Gane’s future opponent. This is Sergey Spivak, a 28-year-old Moldovan.

Ranked 8th in the world, the Eastern fighter arrives with a record of 16 wins and three losses. “Spivak has won 14 of his last 16 fights before the limit and ten of them have only been one round,” Dana White tweeted.

A year ago, Ciryl Gane was also the headliner by beating the Australian Tai Tuisava. There, the 33-year-old fighter will have to be wary of an opponent nicknamed “The Polar Bear”.

In the coming weeks, Dana White will reveal the other fights scheduled for the evening. The French Nassourdine Imavov and Manon Fiorot will also be there.

The UFC’s first visit to France, on September 3, was a great success with the victory of the five French fighters in an electric and jam-packed Bercy.

Tickets will go on sale from June 23

“After fifteen years of preparation, our first event in Paris was incredible!!! Sold out, the atmosphere and the fans were fantastic. The arena was packed from the first fight of the evening and no one remained seated. I look forward to producing another night to remember,” UFC President Dana White said. Tickets will go on sale from June 23.
