Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a leader who worked day and night to end apartheid in South Africa, has died. He was 90 years old.
Tutu is also the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Tutu’s death has been confirmed by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. “His demise marked another chapter in our country’s farewell to a generation of great South Africans who gifted us a liberated South Africa,” Ramaphosa said. Recently, Tutu came out with a comment, including on the Rohingya issue.
