In Dresden he is now strengthening the jury, the 100 pairs of debutants for the opening waltz of the famous Semperopernballs cast, flew in from his adopted home of Munich to Dresden especially for this.

Daddy’s Loveday: Please? I’m African, they can dance. Okay, the thing about the waltz might still have room for improvement. But I’m taking a course. I’m fit until the ball. I learn quickly.
BILD: How did the contact to Dresden for the opera ball come about?
Loveday: It’s my dear friend’s fault Dorothea Michalk (42, Dresden designer, ed.), whom I have known for 20 years from our times together in Munich. She is now on the board of directors of the ball club and asked me. And what can I say: glamour, glamour, style, beauty – the ball suits me, just like this city of Dresden! I am here for the first time. It’s just one catwalk… Fantastic!

BILD: You also have flashy outfits. Do you already have plans for the ball?
Loveday: Don’t worry, I know what’s proper. I’m a traditionalist there. I will wear a tuxedo or tails.
BILD: You are considered Bird of paradise, are self-confident about their gayness. But not in your homeland of Senegal. Your family doesn’t know about it either.
Loveday: I was last home in Senegal in April. I’m sure my mom knows about it by now, but doesn’t talk about it. Homosexuality is a criminal offense in Senegal.
BILD: How do you have to imagine daddies at home?
Loveday: When I’m there, I dress completely straight, like baggy pants and stuff. I have a real “Senegal closet”. Sometimes I even put skin-colored silicone in my ears so the police don’t suspect anything when they stop me. The freedom to be openly gay is a luxury I enjoy very much in Europe.

No contact with Lucas Cordalis
Papis Loveday became known to most Germans mainly since his participation in the RTL jungle camp. For a long time he was camp dad there, suggestion box, cooked for the inmates. His Zoff with Katzenberger husband and Mallorca singer Lucas Cordalis (55) is legendary. Has he made up in the meantime?
Loveday: I have no contact with Lucas Cordalis. I can tell when someone isn’t real, they’re trying to play a role. But if I love someone, then I can be a slave, do everything for him.
BILD: Would you go into the jungle again?
Loveday: My reputation has exploded since then, I’m fully booked, I do shoots and campaigns for up to 50,000 euros and can also support my family this way. What a luxury! But there are things that you do once and then it’s good. New projects are coming.
BILD: Tell us something!
Loveday: We are currently working on a format for ZDF. I can’t say what exactly, but it’s about fashion and lifestyle. Start is in September. First of all, of course, I’m looking forward to the Semperopernball casting, the young people and the work on the jury.
