Un new ceasefire was agreed between the army and the paramilitaries at war au Sudan, Saudi diplomacy announced on Saturday June 17. It comes into force on Sunday at 6 a.m. local time (6 a.m. in France) and will last seventy-two hours.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States announce the agreement of the representatives of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for a ceasefire throughout the Sudan for a period of 72 hours from Sunday,” a statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry said.
