On Monday, June 12, the new Director General of the Rescue Board, Margo Klaos, visited Ida-Virumaa. During the visit, the CEO met with the employees of the Eastern Rescue Center and with the mayor of Narva, Katri Raik.
At the meeting, the mayor spoke about the current situation in the city, problem areas and plans. The General Director, together with the head of the Eastern Rescue Center, Alar Holzmann, spoke about security and the need to develop civil protection. Municipalities are important partners of the Rescue Department, and such meetings with heads of municipalities are part of daily work, the press service of the Rescue Department told NG.
The new head of the Rescue Department took office on April 3 this year, before that Margot Klaos was in charge of the Luna Rescue Center. This is his first working visit to Narva.
