Thorsten, 37: Dear Mrs. Mantey, My wife and I have been married for seven years and have had a son for three years. We are very different, but in spite of that, or maybe because of that, we are very happy together. Probably also because we allow ourselves a lot of freedom and don’t try to change the other person. When it comes to raising children, however, we often reach our limits. My wife lets our son get away with a lot, I have a much stricter approach to parenting and I’m convinced that children will benefit from this in the long run. What do you advise me?
