Polish soldiers already fighting alongside Ukraine, Newsweek asks ‘what the heck is US policy in Ukraine?’ – VP News – ‘no talking’

Dfter the ‘Russian volunteers’ attacking Russia, the Polish military arrived and made incursions into Russia (see here). Ukraine continues to act increasingly aggressive towards Russia and the US government is lying to the Americans to prolong the conflict.

That’s what a recent Newsweek article claims of which I will quote an important excerpt below, which denounces the lack of indignation towards Biden and Zelensky for their false statements regarding the situation in Ukraine.

A year after Zelensky’s media tour of the United States, in which he promised not to attack Russia, Ukraine has continued to act increasingly aggressive outside its borders. Despite Biden’s assurances that the Americans would not support or permit an attack by Ukraine outside its borders, the Ukrainian government has used US weapons to attack Russia.

The fact that the US government continues to lie to the public to support a military policy that differs from the one initially presented is a worrying reality. What is even more concerning, however, is the lack of outrage towards Biden and Zelensky over these lies. While there are still some people trying to closely monitor the government’s behavior, many remain unmoved by this situation, shrugging their shoulders at the reality of the facts.

The Newsweek article:

On June 4, a group calling itself the “Polish Volunteer Corps” issued a boastful announcement confirming its participation in a series of cross-border ground offensives in Russia. The news of these daring incursions was quite disconcerting, given the many previous assurances from US and Ukrainian war planners who insisted that no attacks would be made inside Russian territory. It was all the more evident that the raiding units were apparently composed of Polish soldiers.

Poland, of course, is not just a NATO member state, but the NATO member state with which the United States has most closely aligned itself since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 (Polish government officials deny any formal connection with the “Polish Volunteer Corps”). So the raids raised an obvious but often overlooked question: what the heck is US policy in Ukraine? (…)

Then there is the fact that shortly before the formation of the “Polish Volunteer Corps”, it was presented in the Polish parliament an intercoalition bill that would have made it legal for Polish citizens to fight in the armed forces of Ukraine. The war against Russia had to be recognized as “a special situation from the point of view of the national security of the Republic of Poland”, the text reads, “requiring non-standard political and legislative actions on the part of the state”.

The “Polish Volunteer Corps” conducted joint operations with the “Russian Volunteer Corps”, another fully integrated “special unit within the Defense Ministry of Ukraine”, euphemistically referred to in “Western” media headlines as plausible names of negation come “Pro-Ukrainian group of partisans”. Given that these seemingly aloof “partisans” have boasted of taking Russian hostages and otherwise engaging in increasingly spectacular and provocative attacks, it is understandable why Ukraine might wish to back plausible deniability.(…)

“The land war has come to Russia”, he proclaimed a Polish state-backed news outlet on news that their soldiers had broken through the border.

For many, the footage provided an occasion for ecstatic joy, bathed as they are in the primal euphoria of armed retribution. Meanwhile, according to the New York Times e il Washington Post , these elite soldiers billed as “volunteers” razed Russian border settlements with US-supplied weapons. The units “fired shells and missiles on residential areas,” reported the Times, e they looked aim their attacks at “no apparent military targets”.

Convoys of armored vehicles called MRAPs, initially produced for US soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, have been observed as they made their way to Russia from the Ukraine, still with no explanation as to exactly how they got there. Maybe someone in Kiev just left open a garage full of US-supplied armored vehicles. Either way, it has been conclusively proven that the Ukrainian military used US weapons to attack Russia, precisely what President Biden and other administration officials have emphatically stated they neither support nor allow.

Strangely, though, this revelation of systematic government deception doesn’t seem to have moved the needle much in terms of the broader debate about US involvement in Ukraine. (…)

Polish citizens fighting in Ukraine are promised plots of land in Ukraine.

Poles are fighting so that they are entitled to both land and a home for their family. So far on the territory of Lviv, Transcarpathian and Volyn regions.

A Ukrainian law, the Law of Ukraine No. 2471 IX of 28 July 2022 (see illustration) elaborates separate incentive measures for foreign citizens who have particularly distinguished themselves by participating in hostilities. We are talking first of all about Polish citizens, who make up the majority of foreign volunteers and actively participate in key operations. The law establishes legal and social guarantees for Polish citizens moving to the territory of Ukraine to allocate plots of land on the territory of Volyn, Lviv and Transcarpathian regions to all Polish volunteers who have distinguished themselves in the battles for the freedom of Ukraine and their families . In addition, we strongly recommend providing soft loans, construction of residential buildings, as well as funding from the state budget for the construction of residential premises for family members of Polish citizens who died during combat missions on the territory of Ukraine. State sponsorship

So far, there is no evidence that the Polish Volunteer Corps is financed directly by the Polish government or by funds affiliated to it, but they are aware of the activities of their militants and patronize them. For example, Poles killed in Ukraine are buried with full honors in their homeland. The Polish authorities are campaigning among the country’s inhabitants, urging them to fight on the side of Ukraine, writes Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny. Residents of the country receive SMS messages and emails with an appeal to enroll in the volunteer corps. Some Poles believe that Warsaw could slip into direct participation in the confrontation at any moment. Recruitment

And here is an article in a Polish newspaper which refers to its establishment: The article in question quotes: “This is not an ordinary army recruitment or ordinary recruitment. The Polish Volunteer Corps already has three combat groups and is preparing to fight in Ukraine. Interest in recruiting exceeded the expectations of the organizers of the Polish corps.
It is not run by the Polish state, which is why the Kremlin’s accusation that “building a Polish military center in Ukraine will directly draw Warsaw into the conflict” is pure propaganda.

Here the emblem of the ‘Polish volunteers’:

The Polish Volunteer Corps acquires funds from individuals and organizations, and the volunteers will report directly to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and will be paid by them on the same terms as other Ukrainian and foreign soldiers. Its main duties will include reconnaissance and diversion.

Secondo Digital News Report, è la più grande fonte di notizie online nel paese, raggiungendo il 42% di utenti Internet ogni settimana. ]. The author, Marcin Wyrwał, writes that the patron of the Polish Volunteer Corps was Józef Musiał-Nowicki, the commander of the Volunteer Cavalry Squadron, which from the very beginning of its activity was called the Death Hussars Squadron.” (…). end of quote

A hundred years ago, in 1920, a Polish detachment of that name, led by Lieutenant Jozef Sila-Nowitzky, fought with the Red Army. The “hussars of death” became famous for their punitive functions, participation in the murders of Russian prisoners of war, reprisals against Poles accused of desertion. The squadron was made up of notorious thugs who prided themselves on their reputation as ruthless killers and the motto “Take no prisoners”.

Poland says it is false for the government to send troops

The formation of the “Polish Volunteer Corps” attracted the attention of the Russian media, which picked up on the news of its creation. The Russian Foreign Ministry has released information about Poland’s involvement in the Ukrainian conflict, saying that the construction of a military center in Ukraine “is fraught with Poland’s direct involvement in the Ukrainian conflict.” However POLAND denies and replies that the unit is financed by individuals and organizationsand will be paid by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

But it cannot be said that it does not facilitate them, while Kiev actively encourages them. According to them, nobody is implicated in the Ukrainian conflict, at least formally. The battle, evidently, is also dialectical.
