About 5,000 dead cranes were observed in the Hula Reed as a result of the bird flu, and another 30 individuals in the Jezreel Valley. The Sick Nature Reserve will remain closed until next Friday. Minister Tamar Zandberg: “We are in the midst of a very acute outbreak, this is one of the most serious injuries to wildlife ever in Israel. We will treat it in the most correct and environmental way.”
