Everything was resolved in the first half and for the second time the United States takes the trophy home. In the state of Nevada, the US team beat Canada (0-2) in the grand final of the Concacaf Nations League and celebrated at home.
On the Canadian side, two players who play in Portugal were in action: Eustáqui was in the starting line-up and left towards the end, Steven Vitória was a substitute and came on at 61′; none of them were happy against the ‘States’ who had in Giovanni Reyna the great engine of the team.
The Dortmund midfielder only played the first half, but it was enough to make two assists for a goal: first, at 12′, for Chris Richards and then, at 34′, for Folarin Balogun.
In the second half, the American team handed over control of the game to Canada, who never showed enough ability to hurt Matt Turner’s goal. And in the end… a tough party for the United States, once again champion of the Concacaf League of Nations.
