A delegation from the State of Rondônia led by the vice-governor and Secretary of State for Economic Development, Sérgio Gonçalves da Silva, visited the Famato Building in Cuiabá, where the houses that make up the Famato System – Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Mato Grosso ( Famato), AgriHub Institute and Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea).
The delegation was welcomed by the president of the Famato System, Vilmondes Tomain and by the directors, Robson Marques (Administrative and Financial) and Ronaldo Vinha (Institutional Relations).
“Our role is to identify the problems of rural producers and provide technological and technical solutions in an accessible way that is adapted to the different realities of our producers, from small to large. And sharing our experience with the state of Rondônia is a pleasure. This exchange of knowledge is very important. Our doors are open to everyone who wants to contribute to our objective”, said Vilmondes Tomain.
At AgriHub, the delegation got to know the structure, methodology of the hub, tools for connecting rural producers with technologies, projects and partnerships. In addition to the knowledge acquired at the hub, the deputy governor spoke about the coordination of innovation and technology created by the State Secretariat for Economic Development of Rondônia, which is looking for references in other states of the Federation, with the aim of expanding contacts, ideas and actions aimed at the innovation ecosystem.
The entourage was surprised by the area of activity of Imea, which has the mission of preparing studies and socioeconomic and environmental projects, through a system of collection, processing and analysis of data, producing strategic information on agribusiness in Mato Grosso.
On the occasion, Imea’s soybean analyst, Iury Amaral, and corn trainee, Milena Habeck, presented data on agriculture and livestock in Mato Grosso, market, infrastructure, logistics, Brazilian economy and impacts on the state’s main production chains.
Lieutenant Governor Sérgio Silva was surprised by the structure and work developed by Famato, AgriHub and Imea. “We need an AgriHub and an Imea in our state. Let’s take the idea. The numbers of agriculture and livestock in Mato Grosso are surprising”, commented Sérgio Silva.
Also in the delegation were the Secretary for Environmental Development, Marco Antônio Ribeiro de Menezes Lagos; the secretary of Agriculture, Luiz Paulo da Silva Batista, and the secretary of Assets and Land Regularization, David Inácio dos Santos Filho. In Cuiabá, the delegation also participated in the 25th Forum of Governors of the Legal Amazon.
