With the couple Antonis Liveris and Amelia MacKinnon beaming with happiness, their wedding took place on Saturday afternoon in the picturesque Kastellorizo and in the small church of Agios Georgios tou Pigadiou, in the port of the island in the presence of relatives and distinguished guests from Australia, America and Greece.
Both Antonis and Amelia arrived at the church on foot, in the presence of friends and instrumentalists. Close to the couple, the father of the groom, Andreas Liveris with his wife Paola, who never stopped smiling and expressing their happiness for their son’s choice to get married in Kastellorizo, the island where they are from.
For his wedding, Antonis Liveris together with his father Andreas and his brother Nikolas had chosen to wear dark black suits sur mesure, creations of their favorite house, with white shirts. Their lapels were adorned with white flowers, the same as those from the bride’s bouquet.
On the other hand, Amelia shone in her white lace wedding dress, with its plunging neckline and bare back. Haute couture creations in white and off-white were chosen by all three women of the family, mother Paola, sister of the groom Alexandra and his daughter-in-law Jemima.
For their guests, the family had many surprises in store, such as the countless dozens of dishes that everyone broke together at the welcome party organized on Friday night at the “Megisti” hotel.
The moments that everyone experienced together at the wedding reception, which took place at the estate of the Mitaros family, a relative of Andreas Liveris, in the Mandraki area, were also unique. All the trees on the estate were decorated with white lights, while the tables were decorated with bouquets of colored flowers and tall crystal candlesticks.
On Sunday morning, the third day of the wedding events, the couple met with their friends on the island’s beach enjoying cocktails and boat rides.
