This Wednesday (14th), the Joint Parliamentary Front for Brazilian Accounting was formalized in a ceremony held at São Nobre da Câmara dos Deputados, in Brasília-DF. Of a suprapartisan character, the Front aims to promote dialogue between accounting professionals and Congress, monitor and provide technical subsidies for the processing of legislative proposals that contribute to the development of the accounting profession and the country.

The Joint Parliamentary Front for Brazilian Accounting will be chaired by Federal Deputy Júlio Cesar (PSD/PI) and has the membership of 247 parliamentarians, including deputies and senators. The initiative is the result of a joint effort by the Federal Accounting Council (CFC) and representative entities of the accounting profession at the national and state levels.

For the president of the Regional Accounting Council of the State of São Paulo (CRCSP), José Aparecido Maion, who was at the event, the Joint Parliamentary Front of Brazilian Accounting is another step that the entities are taking to value the accounting profession in the country. “This is a unique opportunity to be heard, with the aim of helping Brazil to promote economic growth based on data, experience and knowledge from the accounting sector”.
