Editor of the independent publication “Hantsovitzki chas” Paul Dailid refused to come “for an interview” to the Ivacevitsky police station. The police officers who came to his home on the morning of June 19 approached the journalist with a corresponding offer.

“Hantsavitsky Chas” wrote that there were two security forces – “one in a police uniform, the other in civilian clothes.”

“The policeman said that they want to talk to him at the police station about the situation that happened on June 17 near the “Santa” store in Ivacevichi,” the newspaper reports.

In response, the journalist stated that “an unnamed official can talk by calling.”

Daylid insisted that he be summoned to the police station on a summons, specifying in it “in which case he is summoned”, “in whose capacity” and “in what legal status”. The journalist also “made an oral request that he would need time to conclude a contract with a lawyer.” After that, the police officers left.

“Hantsavitskyi Chas” recalled the detention of the editor last year, when after three days in the detention center Daylid “was told that there were no violations in his actions.” There was no response to the complaint about the detention, which the journalist sent to the prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee.
