CEP/Ouindigui: Teacher Kotim Ouédraogo maintains the course of excellence

Ouahigouya, AIB (June 19, 2023) – In 2022, due to insecurity, teacher Kotim Ouédraogo and other residents left Ouindigui (Loroum) for Ouahigouya. After bringing together many of her students in her host locality, she achieved a 100% success rate at the CEP. In 2023, Ms. Ouédraogo fought again to have 61 admitted out of 62 candidates, a success rate of 98.39%.

The basic education constituency of Ouindigui proclaimed on Monday, June 19, 2023, the results of the primary school certificate (CEP).

61 admitted out of 62, a success rate of 98.39%, is the score achieved by the teacher Kotim Ouédraogo.

“My goal was to do 100% again like last year. But given the difficult working conditions, I can still be delighted with the performance, ”she said, just after the announcement of the results.

The constituency of Ouindigui recorded a total of 95 admitted out of 97, representing a success rate of 97.94%.

This success rate is the result of the hard work of teachers in the district. Despite the difficult context, they did their job. This success is also due to the will of the municipal authorities who have agreed to accompany the students here in Ouahigouya”, underlined Saidou Rabo, district head of Ouindigui.

And to continue: “We implore the good Lord to bring us peace, security so that the school can continue in acceptable conditions”.

As a reminder Kotim Ouédraogo was revealed to the general public in June 2022 for having achieved a 100% success rate with her students whom she helped to flee insecurity in Ouindigui.

She then found herself after some adventures in Ouahigouya, the capital of the North region, where she decided to bring her students together and ensure educational continuity, thanks to a room made available to her.

The initiative is conclusive: all 44 students pass the CEP. It is carried in triumph by those who had lost all hope of finding the pews.

Mrs. Ouédraogo is received by the Minister of National Education at the time, Lionel Bilgo, who praised her bravery and her capacity for resilience.

It should be noted that in the face of the difficult security situation that led to a massive displacement of populations, the commune of Ouindigui proceeded to regroup schools on sites in Ouahigouya, in order to ensure educational continuity for the benefit of internally displaced students.
