Martin Fayulu

Martin Fayulu announced, this Monday, June 19, during a press conference, that he and his party will not submit candidacies at all levels until the electoral register is audited by an independent firm.

Asked whether his approach is not a boycott of the electoral process in itself, the unsuccessful presidential candidate of 2018 notes “that it is not a boycott”. He takes as an example the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS) and its leader, Etienne Tshisekedi during the 2006 legislature, to explain what he means, according to him, by a boycott.

« Il [Etienne Tshisekedi, ndlr] demanded the boycott beginning by banning members of the UDPS and any Congolese citizen who followed him from enlisting. We enlisted. We raised awareness for enlistment. We created the coordination of the electoral operations of Lamuka and it is thanks to this that we discovered that the adventurers had concocted a corrupt file, ”replied Martin Fayulu.

This leader of the opposition insists: “I am for the elections, but on condition that the file is reviewed”. In front of the press, he confirms that he has already prepared his outfit as well as the campaign song.
