Robertaebasta returns to America for the Hamptons Fine Art Fair

The Robertaebasta gallery will participate in the Hamptons Fine Art Fair (Hfaf), one of the main events on the American summer scene. The fair will take place from 13 to 16 July next in the scenario of Southampton, the beating heart of the Hamptons. For this fourth edition, Robertaebasta has prepared an exclusive selection to represent the best of 20th century Italian art and design through works by artists and visionaries, such as Piero Fornasetti, Gio Ponti, Roberto Crippa, Mario Vento and Sirio Tofanari.

Roberta Tagliavini, an internationally renowned gallerist with a decades-long reputation, founded her gallery in 1967 and works in the sector of 20th century decorative arts and modern design. Thanks to the expertise developed in over fifty years of career and the passion for the search for beauty, connected to a visionary spirit, Roberta works as an expert for state and private entities; She has been a member of the provincial art merchants union of Milan since 1983 and is a member of Sna (Syndicat National des Antiquaires), of the Associazione Antiquari d’Italia (Aai), of the Belgian union of Rocad art dealers and of Cinoa. Since 1994, she has been joined by her son Mattia Martinelli in the management of the gallery.

Under Mattia’s guidance, Robertaebasta expanded with the opening of new exhibition spaces in Milan, participation in important international art fairs, such as Masterpiece London, Brafa in Brussels and the International Antiques Biennale in Florence. In 2017, another Robertaebasta space was inaugurated in London, on Pimlico Road, an international design mecca in the central Belgravia district.

Hamptons Fine Art Fair will host a total of 10,000 works of art selected by 130 national and international galleries in the magical setting of the Hamptons. The fair will feature several themed booths dedicated to showcasing stunning artwork by American Abstract Expressionist artists. There will be important post-war and contemporary works of art with a total value of over 150 million dollars, exhibited in pavilions dedicated to two of the major American artists of abstract expressionism, Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning.
