Uros Milovanovic, Milo, will play next season for Beveren, in the Belgian Second Division. Sporting finalized yesterday the operation advanced exclusively by LA NUEVA ESPAÑA on June 16 and which has been intensifying in recent days. In the absence of nuances to finish documenting his departure, the assignment will include a purchase option in which the Gijón team wants the amount to be as close as possible to the 300,000 euros paid for his signing last summer. The footballer has already given the go-ahead, waiting for the final agreement between clubs. The Beveren will assume the total of the tab of the Serbian striker.

Minimal details are missing, but Milo will open the “exit operation” of Sporting this summer. The footballer has been in talks with Beveren for days, so much so that the Belgian club expressed interest in being able to finalize the loan as soon as possible in order to incorporate him into the preseason. No sooner said than done. The main differences have been in the conditions proposed by Sporting, specifically in the purchase option that both have been negotiating, as this newspaper reported. Something that has been filing down in the last hours. The Gijón club initially established the condition of paying around 300,000 euros in the event of executing this clause, the same amount that it deposited to FK Radnik Surdulica a year ago.

Milo, with a contract until 2025, maintained the hope of earning a place at Sporting. It has not been possible. He did not have a leading role with Abelardo, nor with Miguel Ángel Ramírez. With the latter, even his presence was reduced to a minimum. The conversation held with the club before the holidays already showed him that the best option was to seek a destination far from Gijón. Last season he came to participate in 16 games, between the League and the Copa del Rey. It was in this last competition where he showed his best performance, signing four goals. Two were against Numancia and another two, against Rayo Vallecano, being decisive in the classification in both rounds. He did not see a door in the League.

With Milo’s departure, the club has in Fran Villalba, Campuzano and Christian Rivera three other cases of footballers for whom the door has been left open to find a new team. The three are summoned to start the preseason in Mareo on July 3, with Villalba’s situation being one of the most complex to manage. The Valencian communicated last summer his desire not to play for Sporting, even after the change of ownership and the departure of the previous sports director, Javi Rico, with whom he had a tense relationship. At Málaga he was one of the regulars in the starting eleven, but he could not avoid relegation. Campuzano and Rivera, for their part, maintain the idea of earning a place in the team despite knowing the intentions of the club.
