Aryna Sabalenka, 2nd in the world, was eliminated by Russian Veronika Kudermetova (10th) 6-2, 7-6 (7/2) in the round of 16 of the Berlin grass tournament, who had already lost her favorite Elena the day before Rybakina.
The 25-year-old Belarusian has established herself in the world elite, notably winning the Australian Open at the start of the season before losing in the semi-finals at Roland-Garros.
