“I write songs and sing them”: the fascinating simplicity of Lucio Corsi, the new Martian dreamer of rock
Lucio Courses, the Martian-dreamer of Italian music, grows well and makes its way with quick steps: now it has also landed on the Firenze Rock stage to enliven the long afternoon that led to the cult concert of the Who Saturday June 17th.
A great satisfaction for a boy without talent who did everything by himself, starting with a guitar from Vetulonia, the wonderful Etruscan town in the heart of the Maremma, on a Frecciabianca train to Milan helped only by his family, his high school friends ( his band) and by those who intuited and appreciated his true talent before others.
Lucio is happy, smiles, sings his songs and goes his own way. With musical simplicity and honesty, without compromises, without winking at last minute fashions but telling his stories halfway between the poetic and the surreal and bringing his real, rock music, made and played with instruments, to the stage: an artist who surprises, who involves the ever more varied public who are approaching him.
His third album “La gente chedream” released in April is proving successful in the tour that began in the spring and which took him from Alcatraz in Milan to Monk in Rome, Hiroshima Mon Amour in Turin and Locomotiv Club of Bologna.
Lucio Corsi’s long summer continues on June 29 at the Ibalea Fest, Palazzolo Sull’Oglio (BS), on June 30 at the Phoenix Fest, S. Giovanni Valdarno (AR), on July 7 at the Tantarobba Festival, Cremona, on July 23 at the Apolide Festival, Vialfre’ (TO), on 28 June in NUoVO , Cuneo, on 3 August at the Rocca Pisana, Scarlino (GR), on 26 August at the Limen Festival, Salerno, on 9 September at Ultravox, Florence and on September 24th at Spring Attitude, Rome, with new appointments yet to be announced.
