Films by AIC students are on Streamig À La Carte

Twelve films made by students of the Filmworks Course, from Academia Internacional de Cinama (AIC) were selected and are available on the SA la carte streamingof the renowned Petra Belas Artes Cinema.

The cinematographic productions are the result of filming projects developed in the classroom, where students were able to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the course, with the participation of the technical team, largely made up of AIC students.

O A la Carte is a national streaming that was launched in 2019, with a sophisticated curation and a special variety of titles that marked the history of cinema, with works by great directors such as Alfred Hitchcock, Bernardo Bertolucci and even contemporary names such as Woody Allen. It also has national productions, including “Verônica”, “Villa-Lobos – Uma Vida de Paixão”, starring Antônio Fagundes and Marcos Palmeira and the classic “Cabra Marcado Para Morrer”, by Eduardo Coutinho.

There are more than 400 titles in the catalog currently, including new and exclusive series, some of them produced by BBC Studios, in addition to monthly film festivals in France, Spain, Switzerland, among others. Now, viewers will have the opportunity to appreciate the following works created by AIC students.

Chameleons tells the story of Joana, an aspiring actress who suffers from bipolar disorder, as well as her mother and grandmother. Joana’s grandmother, Dona Ditinha, lives well with the disorder. Her mother doesn’t. Joana still doesn’t know if she will be like her mother or grandmother. Through the letters that Joana writes to her grandmother, the reports of bipolar artists and a documentary about chameleons, we follow the doubts and anxieties of those who live with bipolar disorder.

Archaic, film by Julia Rantigueri
