The captain and record player Sebastian Furchner has extended his contract with the Grizzlys Wolfsburg for another year.

The 39-year-old striker will start his 21st season in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) in 2022. With currently 1101 missions, he is in second place in the DEL best list behind Mirko Lüdemann (1197). “I feel very good physically and enjoy coming to the ice arena every day to work with the team,” said Furchner.

His professional career began in 2002 with the Kölner Haien. He has been playing in Wolfsburg since 2008. With the Grizzlys he should continue to work in the office after his active career.
