It is reported that Prithviraj is withdrawing from the film due to date issues following the postponement of filming

‘Burrows’ is the first Malayalam movie to be directed by Mohanlal. The Malayalam film world and the audience are waiting for Burrows with high hopes. The shooting of the film had started in Kochi months ago but the shooting was stopped due to the lockdown. Actor and director Mohanlal has said that he will have to reshoot many of the parts that have been shot so far for Burrows.

Now, another report about the movie is gaining attention. It has been reported that actor Prithviraj has withdrawn from Burrows. Earlier, there were rumors that Prithviraj was also in Burrows. However, it is reported that Prithviraj is withdrawing from the film due to dating issues following the postponement of filming. As soon as the shooting of Shaji Kailas ‘Tiger’ is over, Prithviraj will move on to the next schedule of his sheep life. Prithviraj is retiring from Burroughs as he has to devote more time to his life as a makeover artist.

Not only Prithviraj, but also foreign girl Sheila McCaffrey, who was earlier announced to play the lead role in the film, will not be in Burroughs. Sheila McCaffrey was a small child when she was cast in the movie. But the problem was that the child grew up and changed shape after the shooting was delayed. There are rumors that Maya from Mumbai will replace Shayla.

Filming for Burrows is set to resume on December 26th. The film tells the story of a ghost named Burrows, the treasurer of Vasco da Gama. The plot revolves around a boy who comes to Burrows in search of treasure.

Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer of Burrows. Mohanlal’s film is based on the story of Jijo, who directed India’s first 3D film ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’.

“During the conversation with Jijo, he talked about the English story he wrote. That was a myth. A Malabar Coastal Myth: ‘Burrows – Guardian of the Gamas Treasure’. A mysterious work written in a Portuguese context. When I heard the story, I thought it would be better to make it into a movie. That’s how the film ‘Burrows’ was born, ”Mohanlal wrote on his blog about his first directorial venture.

The film also stars Mohanlal alongside Spanish actors like Pas Vega and Rafael Amargo. Burrows is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas.
