Bas Verheyden (17) from Oostham, who suffers from an extremely rare immune disease, is currently in Stanford in the US for life-saving gene therapy. “Bas first undergoes a whole series of tests, so that gene therapy can effectively start at the beginning of July,” says dad Kurt from the US.
