Thiruvananthapuram: In view of the current situation in Kovid (Covid 19), the Kovid review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has decided to impose night curfews (from 10 pm to 5 am) from December 30 to January 2.

New Year’s celebrations are not allowed after 10pm on December 31st. Seating capacity in bars, clubs, hotels, restaurants and eateries will remain at 50 per cent.

District Collectors will deploy sectoral magistrates with adequate support from police officers in areas such as beaches, shopping malls and public parks where large crowds are likely to occur during the New Year celebrations. More police will be deployed for control activities.
