Mortgages on homes in Girona fell by 31% in April

The signing of mortgages fell in the Girona regions during the month of April. An 18% drop

In Spain, the number of mortgages on housing also fell, specifically 18.3% year-on-year, up to 27,053 signatures. Compared to the previous month, the decrease was 25.2%.

In relation to interest rates, statistics from the National Institute of Statistics highlight that 61.3% of home mortgages were at fixed rates and 38.7% at variable rates. This way, the fixed rate has lost weightbearing in mind that a year ago it represented 75.1% of the total (and 24.9% the variable).
