The Safidy Election Observatory is calling for volunteers for the next election. Voluntary citizens who wish to participate in the upcoming presidential observation, scheduled for November 9 of this year.
Safidy undertakes to observe up to 10,000 polling stations and deploy around 5,000 observers from civil society organizations in the 23 regions and 119 districts. However, this number is insufficient to meet the challenge of covering the entire country, hence the call for volunteers addressed to citizens as election observers. It is not necessary to belong to civil society organizations, the main thing is that citizens of good will fulfill the conditions required to carry out this mission.
To be able to be an observer, it is necessary to respect certain conditions in particular: to be over 18 years old, active, honest and of good character in the community, to be registered on the electoral rolls, not to be affiliated with a political party and not to participate in campaigns. elections, be able to read and write, have sufficient skills in the use of a telephone, in particular to take photos and send them. Also have some familiarity with the use of Facebook or Whatsapp, and willing to accept, follow the procedures set by Safidy.
The deadline for accepting volunteer volunteers as election observers is July 15, 2023. Volunteers will all receive adequate training in order to fully assume their responsibilities. Coordinators, supervisors and managers will also be appointed to ensure quality supervision.
