DISPATCH — Alpine will produce a new range of 100% electric cars between 2024 and 2030. This should allow the French brand to “develop its income and reach financial equilibrium from 2026”.

Relaunched in 2017 and reorganized in 2021, Alpine has taken over the F1 circuits on the fly. Last year, sales were up 33% compared to 2021, and the Renault subsidiary plans to maintain this course until financial equilibrium. As AFP reports, it expects an annual growth in turnover of 40% between 2022 and 2030, an operating margin at equilibrium in 2026, with a turnover of two billion euros.

“In just two years, we have made Alpine a full-fledged car manufacturer by bringing together remarkable assets: a first-rate engineering center, unique know-how for high-quality manufacturing, an expanding distribution network. And above all, by bringing Alpine into F1, we have projected it into the big leagues, by offering the brand the prestige and recognition attached to the pinnacle of motor racing”, welcomed Renault boss Luca of Meo.

By 2030, Alpine intends to give birth to “seven new sports models”. Among them, an electric sports city car based on the CMFB-EV platform of the Renault 5 and Renault 4, and a Crossover GT. The big turnaround will be felt mainly on the new A110, the figurehead of Alpine’s revival, which will become 100% electric at the end of 2026.

The idea behind all this is to seek international markets, in Asia or the United States in particular.
