São Paulo debuted in the Under-17 Criciúma Cup with a great victory over Talleres-ARG. This Sunday morning (25), Tricolor scored 5-1 against their rival, goals scored by Carneiro, Pedro Ferreira, Takada, Pedrinho and Gustavo.
Despite the competition being Sub-17, the club participates in the competition with a predominantly Sub-16 squad, as it plays the Campeonato Paulista category simultaneously.
São Paulo are in group 1 alongside the hosts, Coritiba and Grêmio. Internacional, Sport Recife, Talleres and Newell’s Old Boys form group 2. Teams from group 1 play against those from group 2, and the first two from each group make the semifinals. The winners will dispute the big decision on the 1st of July, at the Heriberto Hülse stadium.
Tricolor returns to the field this Monday (26), when they face Internacional at 11 am at CT Antenor Angeloni, in Criciúma.
