China’s agricultural insurance revenues exceed 60 billion yuan over the past five years

Since 2007, China’s agricultural insurance revenues have already exceeded 60 billion yuan (US $ 1 = 6.3 yuan), an average annual growth rate of 85 percent. China currently ranks second in the world in terms of agricultural insurance coverage, ahead of Japan and behind only the United States. This was announced at the All-China Meeting on Agricultural Insurance in Heilongjiang Province / Northeast China.
