“You are not counted, put down the keys”: Smutrich attacked Bennett in the plenum

The chairman of Religious Zionism, MK Bezalel Smutrich, this evening (Monday) sharply attacked Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in a 40-signature debate in the Knesset plenum.

“There’s something that everyone around you already understands, and only you probably can’t figure it out,” Smutrich said. “Everyone understands: the media, the extreme left to which you are a member, the Islamic movement that you and your friends are working to brand as Zionists, and we in the opposition also understand. You, Bennett, receive for violating all the promises to your constituents and defected from the right-wing camp with six seats as prime minister. “The left accepts the de facto leadership of the state.”

“This is how they hold the helm and direct government actions,” Smutrich continued. “And in the absence of authority and appreciation for you as prime minister, at most the chairman of the board of directors, maybe even that is not – a lobbyist. “This is the genius deal you were led to: you wanted a prime minister’s chair and you got it, now it’s your partners’ turn to claim their share.”

“No one in your government counts you and you have no ability to govern and manage – neither the plague nor the security of the state, not the economy, nor any other issue,” Smutrich added. “The government you set up is running completely out of your head. It has corona deniers and vaccine opponents who are sabotaging the national effort to stem the spread of the plague.”

“Naftali. It does not look good, it does not make you feel good,” Smutrich told Bennett, who is sitting in the isolated podium. “They laugh at you behind your back. For you, Naftali, it’s not too late, put down the keys and go make your house.”
