Pau: a man and a woman in their twenties found dead in an apartment

Macabre discovery in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. As reported by several local media including France Blue et South Westthe bodies of a woman and a man, both in their twenties, were discovered in an apartment in downtown Pau on Monday evening.

According to local radio, it was the relatives of the victims who alerted the emergency services. When they arrived at the scene, around 8 p.m., the firefighters and the police found the bodies dead.

According to the website Actu.fr, it would seem that the accommodation where the two people were discovered is their home. It is located on the first floor of a building on rue Maréchal-Joffre.

For the time being, the circumstances of the death have not yet been revealed, but Sud Ouest advances, citing a police source, at least “a suspicious death”. The relatives of the victims, who arrived quickly on the spot, were taken care of by the emergency services.

Last month, another tragedy shook the city of Pau when a septuagenarian was found dead at home, his body stabbed with nearly 60 stab wounds.
