PESCARA. They met on the Ponte del Mare in Pescara, shortly after 10 pm, to “challenge the curfew and violate it”. But waiting for them were the agents of the state police and other law enforcement agencies, engaged in the control services for compliance with anti Covid regulations. Thus sanctions are triggered for 14 people, according to reports from the police headquarters, all belonging to the Liberiamo d’Italia association, which disputes the containment measures to the pandemic and the restrictions on personal freedoms.

It happened yesterday evening (Sunday 9 May) in Pescara. The so-called “No Vax”, exponents of this movement, claim respect for the freedom of therapeutic choice, refuse the health passport and ask for the total reopening of commercial establishments and public places. The 14 demonstrators who gathered in Piazza Mediterraneo were administratively sanctioned for the violation of the articles of the Dpcm of March 2, 2021.
Digos is investigating the position of the promoters of the unspoken “walk”, to understand if criminal responsibilities may emerge against them.

The extemporaneous initiative last night was launched during the demonstration that took place on Friday afternoon in Piazza della Rinascita in Pescara, also organized by the exponents of the Liberiamo d’Italia movement, in which two hundred participated. Also on that occasion the police forces identified and sanctioned 19 people who were in the square without wearing personal protective equipment.
