PSG hand will find the Polish club Kielce, its recent executioner in the semi-finals of the Champions League (24-25), during the group stage of the 2023-2024 season.

Apart from that, the draw made on Tuesday was also rather lenient for PSG, which in addition to Kielce will find the Germans of Kiel, whom it beat in the quarter-finals in the spring.

The Parisians will also face the Croats of Zagreb, the Danes of Aalborg, the Hungarians of Szeged, the North Macedonians of Bitola and finally the Norwegians of Kolstad. They could cross paths with several former teammates, such as Mikkel Hansen (Aalborg), Luka Stepancic (Szeged) as well as Benoît Kounkoud and Dylan Nahi (Kielce).

The draw was however more delicate for Montpellier, poured into Pool B with defending champion Magdeburg (Germany), Barça winner of the two previous editions and the Hungarians of Veszprem.

The first day will take place on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 September. Like last season, the first two of the two pools will qualify for the quarter-finals while the formations ranked 3rd to 6th place will go through play-offs, the last two are eliminated from the competition.

As always since its establishment during the 2008-2009 season, the Final Four will take place in June at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. This season, beaten in the semi-finals by Kielce, PSG also lost the small final against Barcelona (31-37).

The draw

Pool A: Kielce (POL), PSG, Kiel (GER), Zagreb (CRO), Aalborg (DEN), Szeged (HUN), Bitola (MKD), Kolstad (NOR).

Pool B : Gudme (DEN), Veszprem (HUN), FC Barcelone, Magdebourg (GER), Plock (POL), Montpellier, FC Porto (POR), Celje (SLO)
