The Ministry of Energy, the Federal Security Service and the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) will check companies in the fuel and energy complex for security against cyber attacks. We are talking about critical information infrastructure (CII) objects, i.e. IT systems, networks, as well as automated process control systems (APCS) of companies. This follows from the draft law amending the Federal Law “On the safety of fuel and energy facilities”, which is published on the regulatory information portal.
The proposed amendments should come into force on September 1, 2024.
