As the second generation Skoda Kodiaq SUV has been launched, it has confirmed the engine details. The price of the Kodiaq SUV in the Indian market ranges from Rs 37.99 lakh to Rs. 41.39 lakhs are being sold.
The plug-in hybrid is available in two power options: 1.5-litre TSI, 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine, 2.0-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. It will come in 5 and 7 seater variants.

Launched in a fully camouflaged guise, the Kodiaq SUV gets a new grille similar to the one seen on the Slavia and Kushak. The Kodiaq continues with the split headlamp design and is now a matrix LED unit. It is expected to come with the ADAS package as a radar sensor has been added to the front bumper.
It also gets a new look with a revised T-pillar and tail-lights.
As for the interior, Skoda says there will be a completely redesigned cabin, though no images have been released. Dominating the center console is a 12.9-inch touchscreen running a new UI. The ‘Virtual Cockpit’ features a 10.25-inch, heads-up display with all-digital MIT.
The dimensions of the Kodiaq car are 4,758 mm in length. Compared to the 5-seat and 7-seat variants, it is 61 mm and 59 mm longer respectively. 1,864mm wide, 1,657mm tall and 2,791mm wheelbase. Third-row passengers now have 15mm more headroom, at 920mm. The 5-seater model has a boot space of 910 liters and the 7-seater variant has a boot space of 340-845 litres.
Skoda Kodiaq Engine Details
The Kodiaq SUV is powered by a new 150hp 1.5-litre TSI engine mated to a 25.7kWh battery and gets a plug-in hybrid option. Combined with the battery and the engine, the power output is 204hp. And it gets a 6-speed dual clutch auto gearbox.
The plug-in hybrid, called the Kodiaq iV, will offer a range of 100 km from the battery, according to Skoda. The battery can be charged up to 50kW with a DC charger or 11kW with an AC charger.
Next, the 1.5 TSI petrol Kodiaq will get a mild-hybrid engine setup with 150hp and a 7-speed, dual-clutch automatic. Skoda also offers a petrol 204hp, 2.0-litre TSI which comes mated to a 7-speed, dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive.
Skoda offers two diesel powertrains. Both get a 7-speed, dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The 2.0-litre TDI produces 150 hp while the top variant gets 193 hp and gets all-wheel drive.
Skoda is all set to launch the new Kodiaq SUV globally in September to go on sale in late 2023 or next year. The Kodiaq is likely to be launched in India in the early months of next year.
