A call center in Malaga, southern Spain, was recently dismantled. According to the police, it was used for “the sexual exploitation of women of South American origin” on French territory. In any case, this is what the authorities reveal in a press release published on Tuesday.
According to the same press release, the Spanish call center handled calls made from France by customers requesting sexual services and advertisements published on the Internet. It was dismantled as part of a joint operation by the Spanish and French police, carried out “with the collaboration of Europol”.
As part of this investigation, searches were carried out in two homes in Spain and three others in France. Following the dismantling of this center, four people were arrested and seven South American women were released. Six of the seven women exploited by this prostitution network were Colombian, the seventh having Peruvian nationality, the police said.
