Contracts for new grain crops are already appearing on the market. Bread wheat it is usually quoted at PLN 800-900/t (BGN 354-398/t), Polish agricultural publications write. They remind that in June the price of the new crop of bread grain has risen on the French MATIF platform by 25 euros/ton.
Last year’s wheat harvest is traded in Poland for BGN 350-420 a ton.
He expects the starting price of rapeseed in the Slavic country to be PLN 1,700-1,800/t (BGN 750-800/t).
In our country, tomorrow the National Association of Grain Producers (NAG) will officially open the harvest in the village of Borisovo, Ruse district, where the Regional Union of Farmers – Danube Grain – Ruse will be the host. The specially sown rye under the “Bread of Peace” project, in which countries from the former social camp participate, will be reaped.
At the end of last week, the Sofia Commodity Exchange (SSE) informed that in the USA the FOB price of wheat (after the producer has paid all taxes and transport) is 291 dollars/ton, while in France it is 247 euros, and in Ukraine and Russia 240 dollars/ton.
In our country, according to SSB data, bread wheat is quoted by buyers for BGN 410-420/ton – delivered locally, and feed wheat for BGN 320 (ex-factory). The exchange does not indicate whether the price is for last year’s grain or this year’s.
Barley in Russia is offered for 245 dollars, and SSB, as well as SAPI, do not provide data on Bulgarian barley.
Rapeseed at Euronext is offered for 443.25 euros, the Sofia Stock Exchange indicates. There is no information about Bulgaria.
