A member of the CPPCC, an employee of the State Railway Research Institute Li Heping yesterday in an interview with the Xinhua news agency said that the Chinese Northern Car Building Association has developed a high-speed train capable of operating in low temperatures – minus 40 degrees Celsius and below, which is supposed to be launched in end of the year on the Harbin-Dalian line.
