The Association of Accounting and Tax Managers of Benin (AGeCoFiB) organized this Saturday, June 24, 2022 in Cotonou in Gbégamey the first edition of its annual party. The genesis edition saw the presence of all the members and distinguished guests, including former minister Valentin Sokpin. Three personalities were honored on this festive occasion.

It is in a festive atmosphere rich in sounds and colors that the professionals in Accounting Management and Taxation celebrated the first edition of the annual celebration of their group of experts. In his welcome speech, Rustico A. Rodrigue, Financial Expert and President of Agecofib, indicated that the members have now decided to organize an annual party to distract themselves after so much work. The President thanked everyone for their participation in the first edition.
Distinctions of three personalities
At this annual party, three personalities were honored. They are Rustico A. Rodrigue, Financial expert and founding father of Agecofib, and president of the association; Bekou Rodrigue, tax expert and finally the Director General of Taxes, Nicolas Yènoussi. Awarded a roll of honor for his services to the office of Agecofib, Bekou Rodrigue said: “You have to be at the service of the nation. When you do, nature is also at your service. If you work a lot, you have to have fun. Let’s always have fun after work. We are nothing. Always be of service,” he advised. He thanked the members of Agecofib.
As for President Rustico A. Rodrigue, he could only express his joy with these words: “we must learn to serve others”. He awarded the distinction to his family and to the members of Agecofib. Present at this annual party, former minister Valentin Sokpin said he was honored to take part in the festive evening for members of Agecofib. As a reminder, Agecofib is a network of Accounting and Tax Managers in the OHADA space (Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa) set up with the aim of pooling the skills of its members and partners. It is a melting pot of exchanges between tax experts and accountants of Benin whose objectives are, among others, to strengthen the capacity of members; better organize the sector; be a reference for companies; help young people to better cope with this environment and promote mixing between professionals in the OHADA space.
