The dance rehearsals haven’t even started yet, and presenter Iva Kubelková is dealing with her second injury in a short period of time. In February, she dislocated her shoulder, now her knee has betrayed her for a change. “I’m in the rehabilitation process after the dislocated shoulder. I’m still a little afraid to use it, but otherwise it’s getting better.” she revealed to the show Showtime. However, there is one big caveat to this encouraging news. “The fresh news is that three days ago I had a crunch in my knee, so I freaked out,” Kubelková admitted. “I’m waiting for an MRI to see if I injured my meniscus,” she added, hoping all would be well.
Hard work and respect
Iva needs all other injuries to be avoided. Although she should not appear on the dance floor until October, training sessions with professional dancers will start a few weeks earlier for VIP contestants. Iva Kubelková does not hide that she has great respect for them. “Here it is! Top dancer Martin Prágr will be my dance teacher, partner, support and lightning rod in this year’s StarDance. As it gets closer I’m getting smaller and smaller and at our first practice I’ll be the smallest in the whole world.” the presenter let herself be heard on her Instagram.
Who also finished first?
Even before the competition started, Václav Kopta had to quit due to an injury from training. That was in 2019. And in 2021, due to covid, Mirai Navrátil and Simona Babčáková ended again. Due to the quarantine, they did not enter the competition night and the rules did not allow them to continue.
