Sales of A-brands of smartphones, i.e. the most expensive Apple and Samsung devices, in piece terms dropped to 25% of the total market, a representative of M.Video-Eldorado told Vedomosti. Back in 2021, for example, sales of flagship devices of these brands in pieces reached 70%, Tagir Kalimullin, vice president of M.Video-Eldorado, estimated at the Vedomosti conference Russian Electronics.
M.Video-Eldorado does not include the flagships of Chinese smartphone manufacturers in the A-brand segment, the representative of the network emphasized. And if in pieces sales of Apple and Samsung account for only a quarter of all sales of smartphones, then in terms of money they occupy about 50% of the entire smartphone market. This is comparable to the state of the market in 2013, the source noted: then sales of expensive smartphones consistently exceeded these figures in terms of market share.
