The delivery of this donation of construction equipment to the Matoto-center mosque and the Sainte Odile de Simbaya church took place this Thursday, June 22, 2023. This donation from RUSAL / CBK is estimated at 70 million francs Guineans and it is made of iron sheets and bars, Guineematin.com learned through one of its reporters.
In total, RUSAL-CBK is offering 307 sheet metal sheets to the Matoto-centre mosque and 116 iron bars to the Sainte Odile de Simbaya church. This gesture is an illustration of the great respect that RUSAL/CBK has for culture and places of worship in Guinea. Moreover, this company brings each year, at the approach of the religious holidays, a financial assistance to the communities of its zones of intervention.
“I would like to point out that wherever RUSAL is present, in Conakry and Kindia, Fria and Boké, new schools, health centers, mosques, churches, sports fields, boreholes for drinking water are being opened and assistance is being provided to local agricultural groups and women’s organizations. RUSAL spares no expense when it comes to social investments aimed at improving the living conditions and health of the population, as well as for the strengthening of the education system in the region of our presence and in Guinea as a whole”, said Petr Gaevskiy, Managing Director of RUSAL/CBK.
According to El hadj Madiou Diallo, president of the council of imams of the Matoto-Centre mosque, the Compagnie des bauxites de Kindia (CBK) has always worked and continues to work to maintain a climate of peace by carrying out charitable actions.
“We are and always will be grateful. By way of example, we can cite social assistance on the occasion of religious festivals, the donation of 30 tons of cement which were useful for the construction of this mosque, and today we will shortly be witnessing the delivery of a donation of 307 sheet metal sheets in the same context. Mr. Director General, be sincerely thanked, you and all of your services, for these magnanimous and highly humanitarian acts. May the Almighty Allah reward you and make your company the best in the production and marketing of bauxite in the world,” Elhadj Madiou Diallo prayed.
For his part, Joseph Emmanuel Correa, priest in charge of the parish of the Sainte Odile church, said that the management of RUSAL/CBK is completely turned towards the Sainte Odile church for all needs.
“Everyone here knows that the management of RUSAL/CBK is completely focused on us in all our needs. So, today we say thank you, because it touched us enormously and it galvanized us to be able to move forward. I wanted to tell you that our joy is great. If you’d come on a Sunday, you’d have seen the whole congregation right back there. But, today, everyone is taken by their concern and that is why we who are here, in the name of all the others, we say thank you and thank you again. We welcome you. Here Sainte Odile is a big family in which all the components of the country are. We are one, united in prayer, united in brotherhood. And, if we call you today in this church, it is to say that our hearts are open to welcome you in our prayer intentions”, he indicated.
