Father Paul Chummar’s field of activity is in Kenya, where he has set up and is expanding a project for 110 children and young people with disabilities under the name “Huduma”. Father Paul will report on the current status of the project on Monday, July 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the large hall of the parish center.
The priest was already in Tirschenreuth in 2021 and said goodbye to the two pilgrims to St. James, Rudolf Schön and Bernhard Stahl, together with the then chaplain Daniel Fenk for their pilgrimage. They traveled 4,033 kilometers on e-bikes for five weeks and visited all the pilgrimage sites along the way. The pilgrims reported on this pilgrimage in several places with a presentation and passed on donations of 500 euros received last year for the organ repairs in the parish church. They have now handed over another donation of 500 euros to Father Paul for his “Huduma” project. Schön and Stahl would like to talk about their pilgrimage in other parishes.
