SAO PAULO (Reuters) – O ran out of steam on Friday, working with a discreet high after surpassing 119,000 points earlier, pressured by the strong retreat of Petrobras shares, which announced earlier a reduction in gasoline prices.
At 15:07, the Ibovespa rose 0.13%, to 118,542.06 points, after scoring 119,447.25 points at the earlier trading session high. At a minimum, it reached 118,259.65 points.
The financial volume amounted to 21 billion reais.
Petrobras PN (BVMF:) fell 4.58% and Petrobras ON (BVMF:) fell 4.33%, after the company announced that it will reduce its average selling price of Type A gasoline by 0.14 per liter to distributors.
The cut was the third readjustment carried out by the company since the alteration of its commercial fuel pricing policy, in May, and takes place one day before the reenactment of PIS/Cofins for gasoline and .
