The implications continue for the opening of an investigation by the lawyers involved in the escape of former congresswoman Aida Merlano, who was a fugitive from justice in Venezuela until she was deported by the Government.
One of those involved in the case, the lawyer Raúl Cadena Lozano, filed a guardianship action before the Superior Court of Bogotá so that they provide him with information on any implication against him and thus be able to be heard.
About Cadena Lozano, the former congresswoman would have told the court that, presumably, that lawyer pressured her on several occasions before her escape so that she would not testify against former senator Arturo Char and his brother Alejandro Char.
The Court’s decision was to partially agree with the criminal lawyer and order the Prosecutor’s Office to deliver the copy of the complaint that led to the investigation into the alleged participation of three lawyers within 48 hours so that the former congresswoman could escape from the prison bound for Venezuela.
Likewise, that Court ordered the delivery of certified copies of the process ordered by the Special Investigation Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.
In addition, it was learned that the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation was ordered that, in case of not acceding to the claims, they must explain the reason for their refusal.
